The power of Energy University’s free curriculum

See how you can improve your qualifications with comprehensive course series and professional certifications

Whatever your line of business, energy efficiency has no doubt become one of the top priorities. But are you fully prepared to make informed decisions about how your company can tackle the subject? With Energy University™, a free online education programme from Schneider Electric™, you can stay up to date with the latest energy trends and gain professional education credits on top of that.

    The appeal of course series

Among the most popular modules offered by the programme worldwide are comprehensive course series, which allow for an in-depth study of a particular subject and can be conducted in stages. They include:

    • Fan Systems, where you can discover how to improve system efficiency of machines that currently use billions of kilowatt-hours of energy each year.
    • Building Controls, which will give you a good grasp of energy management controls that can save a lot of money and improve the comfort of the occupants.
    • Lighting, which will teach you about four basic principles of efficient lighting and how to choose the best lamp type for your needs.
    • Steam Systems, where you can discover the potential of the most widely used form of energy in the industry.

    Professional endorsements

Energy University offers much more than valuable knowledge – it can also help you earn continuing education credits. As many as 10 professional organizations have approved the online courses. The latest endorsement comes from the Association for Facilities Engineering® (AFE) and applies to the entire programme. Other organizations, such as BOMI International or the U.S. Green Building
Council (USGBC®), have approved courses to qualify for continuing education credits against
their existing certifications for graduates of the RPA, FMA, and SMA designation programmes; LEED® Professionals; or LEED Credentialing Maintenance Programme (CMP). More than 100,000 professionals from 190 countries have benefited from Energy University since its establishment in 2009.
The programme currently lists 190 courses and offers instruction in 11 languages, with new content being added every quarter.
