Schneider Electric has launched the latest version of its Unity Pro 4.1, control software. These are some of the enhancements:

• Station and project options can now be exported and imported;
• The directory can be selected to save an XVM file (Project File) when transferring application from the PLC, or when doing modifications online;
• Data-loading management is now a project option;
• Optimisation of data changes online; this option makes it possible to generate (build) only the changed part of the data in order to optimise generation and transfer time.

Additions to Modicon M340 Programmable Automation Controller range:

• CANopen expert mode;
• Serial link module;
• A2Si V3.0 module.

Quantum Hot Standby system enhancement:

• Modification of Quantum HSBY hardware
• Online hardware configuration without having to stop the PLC (in RUN mode).
