IBM, pioneer in the design and construction of Data centre world wide and also a large contributor to global standards. Schneider Electric India a favoured choice as a partner to execute Large Data Centre Project of size 30,000 Sq.ft. in Pune -India for the Bharti Airtel a Telecom major in India.

Customer objective and constraints:

Highly reliable and proven Turnkey Electrical distribution, BMS system and UPS, In row Rack cooling system
Complete Design & Delivery ,I&C,ISAT by one solution provider with project completion target of 7 months from PO and 2 month time for 80% of Equipment delivery
Lump-sump Order with no liability for extra claim for change
Solution offered to be compatible and to be integrated with other third party vendors.

II. SOLUTION IMPLEMENTATION

Implementation methodology (main phases):

Uniqueness- Customised SE/APC solution for Data centre, Design, Estimation, Delivery, Erection, Commissioning and integration trials of complete system (with third party equipments)

Key delivery Mile Stone- The stringent delivery requirement of IBM
delivering 80% of total project equipments by Dec'08 within 3 Months of receipt of PO,

100% execution and integration trials within 6 months.

Duration:

Execution Mile Stones-
Installation and equipment commissioned with statutory approvals,
by March'09 as per contractual requirement.
Integrated site acceptance test with all data centre services
by mid June-09.
Project handed over to end customer in July-09 for operations.

Critical Power : UPS of 10 X 800 KVA APC UPS, Galaxy 9000 from the APC stable with 10minutes of battery back up.
