              I. CUSTOMER ENVIRONMENT / PROJECT CONTEXT

               

              Customer profile:

              • Tengiz is 1 of the most important O&G fields in Kazakhstan: 285 000 barrels a day of high quality production.
              • The field reserves are estimated at between 6 and 9 billion barrels, and production should reach 750 000 barrels a day by 2010, corresponding to an increase of 163% over 7 years.
               

              Customer objective and constraints:

              • The project aimed to propose an Electrical Distribution system for new sites intended to increase the existing gas production.
              • In such a project, the availability of the electrical power from the HV network connection point to the LV load is the main concern.
