Distance Protection and Control Relays
Easergy MiCOM P43x distance protection and one-box devices are used for selective short circuit, ground fault and overload protection in medium-, high- and extra-high voltage systems. Models available: Easergy MiCOM P433, Easergy MiCOM P435, Easergy MiCOM P437, Easergy MiCOM P439.
Easergy MiCOM P43x offers a comprehensive range of functions for network application with optional hardware and software features to satisfy your individual needs. It’s available in a modular housing and wiring connections can be made with either ring or pin terminals, depending on your preference and security. The information exchange is performed by inbuilt communication interfaces, using either serial protocols (IEC 60870-5-101, -103, Courier, DNP or Modbus) or an Ethernet interface using IEC 61850. In addition, the IRIG-B input supporting modulated or unmodulated signals completes the device.
Easergy MiCOM P433 and P435 are scalable for medium and high voltage systems and available in modular 4U case sizes of 40TE or 84TE widths, suitable for panel, rack or surface mounting. For space-saving installation requirements the Easergy MiCOM P433 is also available in a modular 4U case size of 24TE width. Bay control for up to 3 devices and a library of 80 pre-engineered templates that reduce engineering time complete the device. A detachable HMI is available to increase the security and safety of local operations.
Easergy MiCOM P437 offers a multitude of protection functions for transmission lines and cables in high- and extra–high voltage systems in modular 4U case sizes of 84TE width, suitable for panel, rack or surface mounting.
Easergy MiCOM P439 one-box solution includes a graphic LCD display and bay control for up to 10 devices, using a pre-engineered library of up to 300 templates for reduced engineering and commissioning time.
Latest communication protocols and Ethernet redundancy
The Easergy MiCOM P43x range is fully equipped with the latest communications protocols (IEC 61850 Ed1 and Ed2 available in the same device, selection by setting). The range offers maximum availability and reliability of Ethernet communications thanks to the implementation of PRP/HSR standard redundancy protocols with an instantaneous recovery time (0 ms) in case of network failure. The compatibility of Easergy MiCOM P43x offers some of the RSTP redundancy protocol as well. All redundancy protocols are available in the same device and can be selected by setting. Implemented VLAN and port assignment functionality allows the use of advanced network architectures by splitting the physical network into a logical SCADA system network and maintenance network.
Major enhancement to cybersecurity
Operational and cybersecurity, compliant with IEC 62351, helps protect installations using security based on embedded features such as role based access control (RBAC), port hardening, security logs and access traceability. The IED by default includes RBAC with different users defined and a security administrator
